I am engaging myself in several interesting Hong Kong live interactive online tour offerings which are designed to enable my clients to experience this wonderful city remotely and to learn more about the city’s fascinating history and culture via a live interactive online platform.

If you have any special requests for a custom Hong Kong interactive online experience, I will be happy to entertain them if feasible.

Let me emphasize, the following live interactive online experiences are completely private. They are not “group online sessions” with multiple participants linked simultaneously from multiple locations.

The substance and quality of these experiences is premium. As such you are able to interact with me directly in real time and you will be able to ask as many questions as your heart desires.

On the street, I am fully mobile, so I am able to move towards whatever street scenes may pique your interest. To preserve the interactive quality of these experiences, I am limiting the number of participants to five.

To be clear, these experiences are live. You will be interacting with be in real time on location. These are not virtual reality tours or live commentaries laid over pre-shot video clips. You can compare it to live action news broadcasting. There will be no opportunity for me to do a second take.

An Insider's Guide to Hong Kong--A Live Virtual Tour Presented From My Home in Hong Kong

This will be an Interactive Online Presentation delivered personally by me from home using 'live video conferencing software’ such as Skype or Zoom.

I will deliver a concise introduction to the Hong Kong SAR covering the local geography, basic historical context locally and globally and the local culture.

I will also provide a brief recommendation on how to configure your visit to Hong Kong to cover the most essential points of interest.

During this presentation, I will be using visual aids including maps, a timeline, and the best street photography taken by me during the 16 years of my residence here in Hong Kong.

A fair amount of the information I will be relating to you will be an in-depth version of the information I provide to clients on my private walking tours in Hong Kong. During and at the conclusion of the session, you will have ample opportunity to ask any questions you like.

Many of you who know me have often suggested that I should be putting my “connecting the dot” style presentations in a shareable format inviting deeper discussion. If you have been with me on tour previously, I will deliver a modified presentation that reviews certain basics and then delves into other interesting topics less conducive for coverage on a first time walking tour.

This first experience will be a live presentation from my home. This will allow us to have a simple face to face style conversational online interaction as well as a stable method of screen sharing visual materials.

A Walk in the Central District of Hong Kong Island--A Live Interactive Walking Tour on The Streets of Hong Kong Island

This will be an Interactive Virtual Walking Tour delivered by me from the streets of Hong Kong Island using 'live video conferencing software' such as Skype or Zoom.

I will deliver a concise introduction to Hong Kong Island covering local geography, history and culture.

We will walk from Admiralty to the historic Central District which is the commercial and civic center of both modern-day and colonial Hong Kong (once known as The City of Victoria). You will see historic landmarks, notable modern skyscrapers and lovely local scenery. My narrative will cover legends and tales of old and new.

The tour is private and fully interactive, meaning you can ask as many questions as you like along the way.

Itinerary:

We will be walking in three areas:

1. Hong Kong Park (formerly known as Cantonment Hill and the former location of the British military barracks on Hong Kong Island);

2. Government Hill (the former administrative center of British colonial rule and the location of St. John's Cathedral, the oldest Anglican Church in Asia);

3. Queens Road Central (the first road built in Hong Kong) and Statue Square (the centerpiece of Colonial and modern-day Hong Kong.

There are plenty of interesting anecdotes and stories to be shared on this walk. You will see notable landmarks including the Bank of China Tower, Bank of China Building, the HSBC Building, St John's Church, and the Court of Final Appeal Building.

This will be a memorable introduction to Hong Kong and its unique role as a gateway to the East.

A Walk in the Tsim Sha Tsui District of Kowloon--A Live Interactive Walking Tour on The Streets of the Kowloon Peninsula

This is an Interactive Virtual Walking Tour delivered by me from the streets of Kowloon using 'live video conferencing software' such as Skype or Zoom.

I will first deliver a concise introduction to Hong Kong and Kowloon covering local geography, history and culture.

We will begin our walk in a local outdoor market and proceed through Tsim Sha Tsui, which is the commercial center of the Kowloon Peninsula or Nine Dragons in Cantonese, to Victoria Harbour.

You will see historic buildings, other notable points of interest, and lovely local scenery including the magnificent view of Hong Kong Island. My narrative will cover historic legends and tales of old and new.

The tour is private and fully interactive, meaning you can ask as many questions as you like along the way.

Itinerary:

We will be walking in three areas:

1. Historic Yau Ma Tei, an old Chinese neighborhood surrounding Jordan Road in Kowloon;

2. Nathan Road (known as the Golden Mile) and Kowloon Park (the location of the former barracks of the former British Indian Garrisons);

3. The Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade and vicinity which is where the world-famous Peninsula Hotel is located, the newly designed Avenue of Stars, as well as the Hong Kong Cultural Center, the Star Ferry Terminal, and the old Marine Police Headquarters.

At the end of the walk, we will have a short round-up session for questions and answers.

This will be a memorable introduction to the bustling Tsim Sha Tsui District of Kowloon.
